The Lotus Lantern
An original stage play adapted from the Chinese mythology "The Lotus Lantern".
The Lotus Lantern (宝莲灯) is a stage production presented at Highland Arts Theatre (HAT) from January 13–18, with seven performances in total.
All performers in this production are international students from China. We are not professional actors or dancers, but we came together with a shared love for storytelling and Chinese culture. Through our own understanding and interpretation, we combined dance, martial arts, English dialogue, and dramatic storytelling to bring this classic Chinese legend to life on stage.
